I ran across this website/blog today, and I was impressed with the work. Kelly Kline does a lot of sports-related photography for editorial and commercial clients. I’ve done shoots for Slam Magazine (a basketball magazine) in the past, and I noticed several photos she’s also done for Slam. It looks like shoe’s also done work for ESPN and a bunch of sports pubs that I’ve never heard of (but, I don’t really follow sports, so I’m sure there are plenty of great athletic magazines that I’m clueless about).
Anyway, she has some great “behind the scenes” pics on her blog that will answer some of your “how did she did that?” lighting questions. And, even if you aren’t looking for tips and tricks for shooting better, you can still be wowed by all the great athlete portraits and action shots she has…
